The first two episodes focus on establishing Martian’s life. During his mission, he builds a network of contacts for the CIA and also forms a relationship with Sami, a married professor.

However, after the mission is abruptly cut short, Martian feels the pressure of constant surveillance and the emotional burden of balancing his personal and professional life in London. Things change when he reunites with Sami, who is also now in London for a supposed conference.

Martian rekindles his romance with Sami but becomes suspicious of her when he discovers she did not attend the conference. As he digs deeper, he begins to believe that Sami might also be a spy.

At the same time, a crisis erupts in Belarus when CIA agent Coyote disappears after being arrested for drunk driving. The London station fears he may have revealed sensitive information. Martian leads the effort to protect Alexei Orekhov, a key contact in the case.

The agent finally confirms that Alexei has not been compromised, which finally gives the team a sigh of relief. Meanwhile, Martian also mentors rookie agent Daniela Ruiz and trains her for a dangerous mission to Iran.

He emphasizes the importance of mingling with the local population and avoiding personal connections during the mission, something he learned from his own experience. Daniela then steps into her role by adopting a false identity to enter the Iranian scientific community.
