Satisfyit’s very successful collaboration with Hoka Earlier this year there was plenty of dirt, but now it looks like the French running brand is ready to blaze its own trail.

TheRocker, launching next summer, will represent Satisy’s first in-house trail shoe. But it could also be considered a first for trail running in general.

The main feature of the shoe is a unique outsole pattern inspired by RC car tires, defined by circular and conical lugs and a 360° wraparound construction, some of which extends down the side of the midsole.

Satisfy calls the technology TuneLug and the principle is simple, although its execution is anything but.

The goal, he says, is to provide multi-directional traction on uneven surfaces, while remaining stable, responsive and durable in “urban environments,” i.e. roads and sidewalks, which can eat away the crampons of more technical sneakers designed for the mountains.
