Star Wars Outlaws is cheaper than ever during Black Friday

Star Wars Outlaws is a game that embraces both the aesthetic and core elements of Star Wars, but adds some fun curveballs. Despite a difficult launch, with some flaws around stealth and combat in particular, Ubisoft patched the game and alleviated these issues, making it easier to recommend during its Black Friday sale. Normally $69.99 you can get back Star Wars Outlaws for PS5 and Xbox Series for $39.99 at Amazonor $49.99 at Best buy And Walmart.

Instead of your typical Jedi, the game’s protagonist is Kay Vess, a rookie smuggler with a little less swagger than Han Solo, but with more charm, intelligence, plus a cute dog-like alien named Nix who rides on his shoulder. As you would expect from a Ubisoft game, there are a ton of things to do in the game: stealth missions, racing, gambling, space combat, and just hanging out with a group of extraterrestrial companions. Star Wars Outlaws really succeeds in making you feel like you’re living in Star Wars, and I love that kind of fantasy.

I grew up with Star Wars films and I must admit to a certain nostalgia that is soothed by hearing the familiar beep of a drone or the engine of a speeder. This is a large part of the reason why I like Star Wars: The Old Republic as much as an MMO – it’s a comforting and slightly guilty pleasure to be able to spend time in this setting. Star Wars Outlaws really builds on that, with higher graphical fidelity and more elaborate environments. Kay can go to a space version of a KBBQ restaurant and feed pieces of fried beast to Nix, explore swamps, ice planets and deserts, or break into an Imperial base and hack computers to obtain credits.
