“The County is proud to continue its collaboration with local municipalities and Georgian College to financially support Simcoe County students,” said Reeve Basil Clarke. “Our County Council is committed to improving our communities and supporting our residents, including supporting the growth of our future workforce. On behalf of the County Council, I congratulate this year’s winners and wish them every success in their studies.

“We are pleased to continue our partnership with Simcoe County on this scholarship program that recognizes the power of post-secondary education and community,” said Nene Brode, Financial Aid and Scholarships Manager , Georgian College.

“At Georgian College, we encourage students to make more connections outside of the classroom. Those already living in Simcoe County know the power of the outdoors and this important scholarship provides added incentive to stay, play, study and start their careers here.

The scholarship program application process will typically reopen in the spring. Once announced, the program will be promoted through various channels, including all Simcoe County social media accounts.
