Prince Harry and Meghan Markle face deportation but won’t leave California without a fight: report

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are preparing to face possible eviction and plan not to return to their California home anytime soon.

Express.co.uk reported, citing sources, that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex planned to remain in their California home despite the threat of deportation from the United States.

“There are no plans (for the Sussexes) to leave the United States,” the report quoted a source as saying.

“Harry and Meghan feel at home in California, and they are not going away without a fight… They have a very good legal team and they have a lot of support behind them to make sure that they can stay in the United States. United,” another source told Express.co.uk.

Currently, Prince Harry faces legal action over his immigration status in the United States.

Prince Harry had admitted to drug abuse in the past, such as using cocaine, cannabis and psychedelic mushrooms. This could be a possible reason for refusal of the visa application.

A conservative think tank, Heritage Foundation, has requested access to Prince Harry’s visa records, saying his drug use should have prevented his entry into the United States.

According to a recent ruling, the Duke of Sussex’s visa application will be confidential. However, this could change under the arrival of the US president-elect. Donald Trumpthe term.

Trump earlier said he was considering deporting Prince Harry due to his visa issues. “I wouldn’t protect him. He betrayed the queen. This is unforgivable. He would be left to his own devices,” Trump said at the Conservative Political Action Conference in February, Express.co.uk reported.

Trump’s victory in the US presidential election has “put the Sussexes in a difficult situation” due to his stance on the visa issue, the report said.

“Harry and Meghan are not fazed by Trump’s comments because they believe they did everything right,” a source quoted him as saying.

“Meghan is an American citizen and Archie just started a new school, so leaving the place they call home isn’t even an option,” he added.

In 2020, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex moved to the United States after leaving royal duties.

The report also stated that the couple had purchased a £3.6million villa in Portugal, near Princess Eugenie’s summer home.

However, the villa is not ready for use and will be used as a holiday home.

“The villa in Portugal is more of an investment than anything else, and construction isn’t even finished yet,” he said.

“It was not purchased as a new home, but rather as a vacation home and something they can invest their money in to protect their assets,” the report adds.
