Sweet Thanksgiving in Phoenix, but expect a weekend warm-up!

PHOENIX (AZFamily) —A Happy Thanksgiving forecast is on the way! A few clouds are possible this morning, but mostly sunny skies should move in this afternoon for the Valley.

High temperatures will reach 76 degrees in the valley, 5 degrees above the normal high temperature of 71 degrees.

Dry conditions are expected across the state, so travel in the valley and high country should be good.

A few clouds will arrive on Friday, so the sky won’t be as bright. However, highs will still be in the mid 70s, which is still above normal. A warming trend will bring high temperatures near 80 degrees by Saturday and Sunday with a mix of clouds and sunshine.

As for travel, this weekend will likely stay dry, so driving conditions look good to and from the mountains. Additionally, most major airports are expected to be storm-free on Sunday.

Temperatures will remain warmer than normal starting next week, with highs in the upper 70s and lower 80s. The weather also looks rather dry during this time, with no significant rain or snow expected, at least until early next week.
