Testament announces 2025 Australian tour

Will have announced their return to Australia, with a five-date headlining tour planned for June 2025. The tour will mark the American thrash metal veterans’ first local shows in over a decade, following their appearance at the front -last Soundwave festival in 2014. also mark their first headlining tour since 2010. In the decade since Testament’s last release in Australia, the band has released two more studio albums. Their 12th, Brotherhood of the Serpentwas released in 2016. Its follow-up, Titans of Creationfollowed in 2020. In July 2024, it was reported that the group was working on a new W studio album – which will potentially be released around the time of Testament’s return home.

Testament – ​​“Over the Wall”

“We’re hoping to have a single… towards the end of the year,” Chuck Billy, the band’s longtime lead singer, said in an interview on US radio station 107.7 The Bone. “The results are very aggressive. We have a new drummer, Chris Dovas, who really sets Eric (Peterson, guitarist) on fire and has really, really heavy, fast (drums). I get excited before mixing, because I just know that every song is a step up from the last album, as far as aggression goes.

A pre-sale for the tour will go live starting at 9:00 a.m. local time on Thursday, October 31. The general sale will then follow on Tuesday, November 5 – again at 9am local time. Both are accessible through the official tour promoter, Tour of the metropolis.
