Easy Homemade Popsicles to Ward Off the Heat

With temperatures reaching 39 degrees in Zululand this week, there’s no better time for a frozen treat! Don’t lose your cool with these easy popsicle recipes.

Frozen Berry Bites:
1 cup of Greek yogurt
1 cup frozen mixed berries
¼ cup honey

Place the Greek yogurt, frozen berries, and cup of honey in a food processor and blend until smooth. Taste and add a little honey if desired.

Pour the mixture into ice cream molds and secure the lids. Freeze overnight or until firm (6 hours minimum). Once taken, enjoy it as a fresh snack!
If you don’t have ice cream or yogurt molds, don’t worry, you can use ice cube trays and juices instead.

Easy popsicles with an ice cube tray

Popsicles in an ice cube tray:
Ice cube tray
1l of orange juice
Plastic film
Toothpick

Pour the orange juice into an ice cube tray. Place plastic wrap firmly on top of the tray. Take toothpicks and place them in the center of each block.

Let it freeze for four hours or overnight until set. Take them out of the freezer, remove the plastic wrap and enjoy your orange frozen bites!
