Amid intense speculation that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has agreed to the hybrid formula for the controversial Champions Trophy issue, Mohsin Naqvi has hinted at a potential cut. Speaking about previously expressed opposition to the two-site hybrid model, he suggested a win-win solution is on the horizon.

Speaking to a few Pakistani media after an Under-19 match between India and Pakistan at the Dubai International Stadium on Saturday, the PCB chief said: “There’s a lot going on right now, and I want ensure that nothing I say jeopardizes the ongoing process. We presented our views and India shared theirs. Everyone involved is working hard to find a win-win solution and, above all, to ensure that cricket becomes the real winner. counts in a way that allows everyone to move forward with their pride intact.

When asked specifically whether the PCB had agreed to the hybrid model, he denied this information, but his response left the question open and open to interpretation. “We will take the measures best suited to the game of cricket. Whatever formula we choose – not the hybrid formula – it will ensure a level playing field for all parties involved.

He reiterated that he wanted to end a situation where Pakistan goes to India and India does not go to Pakistan. “My effort has always been to end the one-sided approach whereby we travel to India, but they are not reciprocating. Barclay’s term ends; Jay Shah prepares to take power
