Newcastle vs Chelsea line-ups, expected from 11th, confirmed team news and injuries: Gordon in race to be fit for revenge mission

Newcastle have chance for instant revenge when they host Chelsea in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup.

Nicolas Jackson and Cole Palmer scored as Enzo Maresca’s side beat the Magpies 2-1 in the Premier League on Sunday, leaving Eddie Howe’s side languishing in 12th place in the table.

Chelsea are competing well at home and abroad this season and reached the final of this competition last season under Mauricio Pochettino, although they needed penalties to sink Newcastle in the quarter-final.

This is another good reason for Eddie Howe’s men to want revenge.
