Will Delaware have a white Christmas? Here’s what we know

It’s starting to look a lot like Christmas.

With temperatures only reaching 40 degrees this week and nighttime temperatures dropping into the low 20s, it’s easy to believe it’s December.

It’s also starting to make people wonder if Delaware will have a white Christmas.

When was the last time Delaware had a white Christmas?

Delaware hasn’t had a white Christmas in 22 years. In 2002, 1.3 inches of snow fell in Wilmington.

Since 2022, conditions just haven’t lined up for snow. The First State has experienced precipitation in some years and cold temperatures in other years, but the two have not aligned properly.
