Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk exchanged verbal jabs during a tense interview ahead of their rematch.

Fury And Usyk are ready to face each other a second time December 21 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, after an action-packed inaugural meeting.

Usyk handed Fury the first defeat of his professional career in May via shared decision in a fight that saw the Ukrainian score eight points on his opponent in the ninth round.

“The Cat” landed a huge left hand flush to Fury’s jaw that caught the Briton on unsteady legs.

As Fury staggered around the ring, Usyk followed up with a flurry of shots and sunk the Mancunian into the ropes, forcing the referee to administer a count.

Recalling this pivotal moment during an interview with their promoters Alexander Krassyuk and Frank Warren for DAZN, heavyweight titans came and went.

“He could have hit me with that punch a million times and it might not have had an effect, but he hit me with it and it had an effect and it was great for him,” he said. Fury said of the first punch, which he described as a “punch from the gods.”

Usyk then timed it: “It was perfect, Tyson was good at escaping.”

Objecting to Usyk’s comments, a visibly exasperated Fury responded: “You had your little chance to knock me out and you couldn’t fucking do it, could you?

“Hit me with ten shots in a row and I couldn’t do it.”

Usyk replied: “You had your chance too.”

Fury then fired back: “You couldn’t even put me down after being on Bambi’s legs.

“You hit me with ten blows, ten clean blows to the chin. No web hits.

“You’re screwed in the rematch. Like Tupac said, ‘You hit me with your best shots and you couldn’t do it all.’

“You know what’s coming, I’m going to fuck you up, bitch.”

Asked by Krassyuk, Usyk’s promoter, what his game plan is for the next fight, Fury replied: “The same.

“I didn’t have anything else to do because it was tight.

“So if I don’t get a 10-8 round in the ninth round, then maybe I’ll win the fight, right?

“So maybe if I stay a little more focused and do the same thing, pop, pop, pop, pop.

“I’m not going to change anything because it wasn’t a one-sided beatdown, because it was a close fight, it could have gone either way. I’m not complaining. I want to box like I used to.”

The interview was recorded after their launch press conference in October.

Since then, Fury has vowed to go into “destructive mode” and eliminate Usyk.

Only time will tell which approach he chooses.
