Position: Quarterback

Height: 6 feet 4 inches, 205 pounds

Hometown/School: Lucedale, Miss. George County

Recruitment: the country’s No. 32 hope RivalsKnight was a national recruit before the end of his sophomore year. He quickly narrowed down his list of suitors and his initial commitment was to Notre Dame on September 18, 2023. He chose the Irish over a host of suitors, including Tennessee, Ole Miss and Auburn. After a long battle with the Irish, Knight changed his decision to Auburn on October 2, 2024.

Strengths: Demonstrated elite arm talent and natural throwing motion. Was consistent with a skillful deep touch on the ball. Knight’s ability to consistently connect with intended targets while throwing on the run has been established over the past two seasons.

Opposing teams took a risk when attacking Knight, as arguably his greatest strength was creating big plays when the pocket collapsed. He was more than happy to keep his eyes on receivers and throw or run with the ball. His physical traits were also evident off the field.

Knight also dominated in track and field. Knight was a Mississippi high jump and long jump champion. These same traits made Knight difficult to stop on a football field.

Areas for improvement: Needed more consistency in footwork, especially when facing pressure. After escaping from the pocket, sometimes Knight would not get his feet back on, even if he had time to do so, for maximize his chances of making passes on target.

However, Knight improved his accuracy with overall shorter passes. For example, his senior year showed he knew when to reduce his speed or use a different trajectory to avoid an interception. These were good signs comparing his younger brother to senior movie and see him live.
