Wet forecast for the weekend, but expect a warm-up this weekend!

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Have a nice weekend, friends! Hope you stay warm and dry this Friday-YAY!!

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

  • A small craft advisory is in effect until midnight for our local bays and until 6 a.m. Saturday for waters near the Gulf Coast.

Get ready for this cold and gloomy weekend! Light rain showers and drizzle will remain in the forecast this weekend, but I expect the rain to stop by the time all of our Friday night plans begin. Temperatures will remain in the upper 50s, with some ambitious lower 60s possible. Still, northeast winds gusting to 20 to 30 mph will keep some bite in the air.
Intermittent showers will become more numerous Saturday morning. If this gloomy weather situation isn’t your cup of tea, you can expect a change next week. Temperatures warm up this weekend, with sunshine and the 80s on Monday. A stronger cold front will return temperatures to levels closer to fall. I think next week could bring our first frost of the season to some inland areas. We’ll call it: Decem-brrrrrr.
