A marquee goes up in downtown Orlando

ORLANDO, Florida. – Acrobatics, contortionists, unicyclists and wall-mounted trampoline performers are set to take over the Seneff Arts Plaza, in front of the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts.

Under a brightly colored big top, you can expect to see world-renowned aerial and acrobatic artists interacting with innovative mechanical devices at the “Cirque Mechanics Winter Wonder Shoppe.”

On Thursday, Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer, Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings’ Chief of Staff Roseann Harrington, and Dr. Phillips Center President and CEO Kathy Ramsberger officially welcomed the artists with a special ceremony which included the final stake of the marquee being installed. .

“Cirque Mechanics Winter Wonder Shoppe” runs December 12-29.

On December 18, there will be a community donation eventwhere 500 students will be able to attend a pre-show reception and see the show for free.

There will also be a sensory show on December 22 at noon. This show will feature adjusted sound and lighting, as well as a relaxed theatrical environment.
