9 Annoying iPhone Bugs That iOS 18.2 Will Fix Next Week

The launch of iOS 18.2 is fast approaching. If you’re experiencing bugs on your iPhone, this upcoming software update might finally fix some issues. Additionally, Apple is even fixing some issues with the latest iPhone 16 models.

As iOS 18.2 RC rolled out, Apple shared the full release notes for the update. Alongside all the new features and additions, the company also revealed the bugs it plans to fix, focusing on the issues users are having with Photos:

  • Fixes an issue where recently captured photos do not immediately appear in the All Photos grid
  • Fixes an issue where in-camera night mode photos could appear degraded when capturing long exposures (iPhone 16 Pro, iPhone 16 Pro Max)

Beyond these fixes, Apple also indicated that the following issues have been resolved:

  • Fixed: If you use the Ignore trackpad setting, it will be reset after updating to iOS 18.2 Beta. (139611885)
  • Fixed: Sound playback and precision search features on Find My-enabled AirTags, AirPods, and third-party accessories may not work. (138283512)
  • Fixed: For devices with MDM profiles, users with anonymous restrictions cannot log out. (135440023)
  • Fixed: Image generation requests with ChatGPT in writing tools may fail. (138791595)
  • Fixed: Recategorizing an email from a domain with a high number of messages may result in unexpected grouping behavior. (140360935)
  • Fixed: Stickers might not appear on the Emoji Keyboard or Sticker Sheet. The sticker sheet can be accessed through the Stickers item in Messages or various other places like Freeform and Markup. You will either see missing stickers or a message that you have no stickers. (138790914)
  • Fixed: Messages may not appear in the Messages app. (138152993)
