Timothée Chalamet impresses college game hosts with his soccer predictions

Not only can Timothée Chalamet playing and singing but his talents extend to the gridiron.

Chalamet, 28, served as a guest coach during the Saturday, Dec. 7 broadcast of the ESPN broadcast. College Game Day. He wasted no time using his looks to break down football statistics.

“I’m going to Jackson State, eight wins in a row,” he joked about the game against Southern. “Eleven All-Conference players. This should be a comfortable and easy victory for them.

Chalamet’s knowledge quickly impressed College Game Day panelists Rece Davis, Lee Coros, Kirk Herbstreit, Nick Saban, Desmond Howard And Pat McAfee.

“Wow,” exclaimed McAfee, 37, proudly patting Chalamet on the shoulder.

Chalamet continued, predicting the results for Ohio vs. Miami of Ohio, Marshall vs. Louisiana, Iowa State vs. Arizona State, Clemson vs. SMU, Penn State vs. Oregon and Georgia vs. Texas.

“This guy is amazing,” McAfee added.

While most of Chalamet’s choices were based on statistics and athlete skills, he had a specific reason for choosing the University of Texas.

“Listen, I’m going with my cinema father (Matthew) McConaughey here”, the Wonka »joked the star. “I feel sorry for everyone here. It’s the Longhorns to victory. Come on horns.

McConaughey is originally from Texas and still lives in Austin with his wife, Camila Alvesand their three children. He often goes out to UT games at homedonning his signature cowboy hat and sunglasses.

Despite his superfan status, McConaughey recently became disheartened when the UT crowd threw bottles at opposing fans.

“The Longhorn Nation and specifically our DKR student section, MOC McConaughey comes to you here,” McConaughey wrote in an October statement shared via X. “First of all, you were electric Saturday night when we hosted Georgia. He added: “Yes, that call was bullshit, but we are better than that. Longhorn Nation knows how to present itself, show itself like no other, while keeping our class. So, moving forward, let’s clean up this kind of BS and put this behind us for good. We need to shake hands on this.

McConaughey then implored his fellow Longhorns to make future opponents “feel the heat” in a respectful manner.

“Remember, nothing reaches OUR turf except this fight in Texas,” he added. “In the meantime, root them hard and hang on.”
