FORECAST

Good morning! There’s a LOT to talk about this week and Mother Nature will keep you on your toes. First of all… it’s foggy. A dense fog advisory is in effect for San Antonio until 9 a.m. Visibility will be significantly reduced in places, so take it easy this morning. Then the sky will clear and the day will turn into a warm day. Highs will be around 80°, with lots of sunshine.

A cold front arrives this evening. It will blow with gusty winds and provide significant cooling. When you wake up tomorrow, temperatures will be in the 40s and we will likely be dealing with wind chills in the low 40s. Despite mostly sunny conditions, tomorrow we will only get a high around 60°. This makes an adjustment of 20° compared to Monday.

Now for what could be the biggest impact from the front: a possible freeze Wednesday morning. As winds calm and skies clear, temperatures will drop. San Antonio *could* experience its first frost of the season, although it will be close. Peripheral areas, outside the metro, will have higher risks of falling up to 32°. This is NOT a 4p situation. The frost will be brief and light, but you’ll definitely want to bring sensitive plants and your pets, and make sure the kids have big coats for school Wednesday morning.

From there, we’ll see a warm-up by the end of the week and more clouds by the weekend.
