For anyone who ever listened to Summer of ’69 in the shower or played (Everything I Do) I Do It For You in their head every time they saw their first crush, Sunday night was pure magic. Bryan Adams, the man behind these iconic hits, launched his So Happy It Hurts Tour 2024 in Calcutta, and the nostalgia was out of this world. CT was there to witness the excitement as fans queued for hours at a water park in New Town.
“Is it always like this to play in Calcutta? Then I have to come back more often” – Bryan Adams
“An unreal experience”
For Kolkata fans, hearing Bryan live was nothing short of a dream. For entrepreneur Abhirup Saha, it was an early Christmas present, while for Akash Basu, a teacher, it was magical to hear him sing Please Forgive Me live. Like many, banker Shalmali Basu hopes for more concerts of this type in the city. Speaking about his experience, entrepreneur Srabonti Ganguly called it an “unreal experience”. Richeek Dey, an entrepreneur attending his second Bryan Adams concert, summed it up as a trip down memory lane.
