The depth of Chelsea’s squad…

“The players we have in the team are high quality, so every day in training we push each other. Highlights of the Premier League match between Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea.

The Chelsea team bond…

“Everyone is the same age and most of the boys have been playing for a while and have a lot of experience. It’s nice to be in and around the group and training is fun. Everyone has a smile on the lips and everyone is pushing each other to do extras and that’s what we need.

“We can rotate at any time, we have two or three players in each position. There is the Conference League and the Premier League – playing both consecutively can be difficult at times, so it is crucial to have the right balance between playing time.”

Enzo Maresca…

“He’s a very good coach and he understands the players, but he’s very hard on you if you don’t do the right things. I feel like every player buys into his way of working and looks forward to learn.

“In my first conversation with him, I had a good feeling, a good impression so I wanted to play under him. It was like when I walked into the room, I felt his aura, his presence, especially when he talks to you because he played the game, so he has a lot of experience. He can teach all the guys something, so I feel like it was good.

Maresca’s requests…

“He tells everyone to work hard every day and I think if you don’t work hard you don’t play. I feel like every player understands how he wants us to work and again personally , he told me to do what I usually do, go 1v1, create space for others and just try to get into the right positions to create scoring opportunities. He likes every player to play. at least one or two positions just in case you would be needed in these areas or if players are not available.

Chelsea goals and title race talk…

“We’re taking it game by game and every game is going to be tough. We’ve got a long season ahead of us, so none of the boys are thinking too much about anything right now. That’s what all the guys are telling each other. We haven’t thought about anything yet, I haven’t done anything yet, but we’re grateful to be in this position. We’re training hard and taking over on game days.

Sancho’s personal goals…

“I hope I can continue to create opportunities to score and help my teammates and have a good rhythm throughout the season. Yes (in response to a question about requiring a long season ), it’s difficult to play in the Premier League and having other competitions it can get overwhelming sometimes because there are a lot of games in a row. I feel like the coach is passing on instructions. ‘he makes sure we know what we’re doing on the field and how we help each other so I think it’s good.”

We take a look at some of the Premier League’s worst kit malfunctions, following Marc Cucurella’s slippery first half against Tottenham. Including classic Arsene Wenger clashes with his coats and a cheeky display from Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Marc Cucurella’s mistakes at Spurs…

“Well, I’m sure you’ve seen his Instagram story about the boots. Those boots are no longer with us, unfortunately! It happens to all of us and mistakes happen in the game. The way he bounced back after These mistakes were crazy and I even got an assist for my goal. We won and he had a great match. Cucurella is a great player so there are no worries.

Playing for the club he supported as a child…

“I grew up as a Chelsea fan. Didier Drogba and Frank Lampard were the players I looked up to as a kid, so it’s a nice feeling. I feel like turning professional alone is the best feeling any young kid can dream of just being out there and playing football, so I’m really lucky in that aspect.
