Vernon Kay revealed that his wife Tess Daly had difficulty containing his emotions during Strictly Come Dance semi-final live last Saturday.

The TV presenter held back tears after the professional dancer Dianne Buswell gave a touching speech about his famous partner, Chris McCauslandwho is Strictly first blind competitor.

After their performance, Dianne said: “I taught Chris this whole time without a single visual cue.

“He hasn’t been able to watch a video to see if he did a great job or if he needs to work on something.

“He never got to see his competitors, but he saw this competition so well because he captured the spirit of the show.

“I couldn’t be more proud of him. He showed that anything is possible.”

The camera cut back to Tess after Dianne’s heartfelt words, who was visibly moved to tears.

Discuss the emotional moment with The SunVernon said: “Chris did an absolutely incredible job and Dianne made everyone cry in the semi-final when she said, ‘Look, Chris hasn’t seen other people dancing.’

“He didn’t see what he accomplished, what he achieved. He didn’t see the placement of his own hands or his footwork.”

“It struck a chord and touched everyone in the studio. Tess was in tears and she had to really hold back tears when she made the next connection to introduce the next dancer.”

After being stunned by their Viennese Waltz last week, they secured a place in this weekend’s competition. Strictly Come Dance 2024 final.

Vernon’s mention of his wife Tess comes after he starred in a EE broadband campaign with her 20 year old daughter, Phoebe. The BBC Radio 2 presenter showed off his incredible festive transformation of his home for the advert.

Vernon also shares a his youngest daughter, Amber15 years old, with his wife, 55 years old.

Phoebe was the spitting image of her mother as she stunned in a long-sleeved black top adorned with silver buttons on the sleeves and a pair of light-wash baggy jeans.

The couple’s eldest daughter styled her gorgeous blonde locks in soft waves and opted for radiant makeup with a touch of bronze eyeshadow, a dash of dewy blush and a glossy pink lip. Phoebe also wore a delicate gold locket necklace, a pair of gold earrings, and a stack of chunky gold rings.

To mark the start of the holiday season, the teenager showed off her immaculate red manicure while posing alongside her father who wore a gray wool Christmas jumper.
