Amid criticism from BRS over unveiling a new design for ‘Telangana Thalli’ (Mother Telangana), distinct from the one used by the regional party, Reddy defended the Congress-led government’s design.

He said it symbolizes a “typical mother” carrying the crops grown in Telangana, like paddy, maize and jowar, in one hand, while the other blesses the people.

Moreover, at the ‘Global Madiga Day-2024’ event, Revanth Reddy assured that the Congress government would do everything possible to ‘ensure justice’ for the Madiga community.

He said the government had formed a committee, headed by Irrigation Minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy, to look into the sub-classification of SCs.

He added that the Congress government has appointed members of the Madiga community to senior positions in universities and other institutions.
