“I can’t go against him” – Lennox Lewis and Mike Tyson disagree on Oleksandr Usyk vs. Tyson Fury 2 prediction

Both Lennox Lewis and Mike Tyson expect different results when Oleksandr Usyk faces Tyson Fury next weekend.

Usyk is set to face Fury for the second time in Riyadh next Saturday, six months later. of his sensational points victory against the “Gypsy King” in May to win the undisputed world heavyweight titles.

Despite ‘The Cat’s’ elite display of squared circle brilliance, Fury will be looking for revenge and will certainly be a live challenger when he looks to become a three-time champion.

Fury has size advantages over Usyk and will likely take a different approach to try to overturn the slim margins in their second twelve-round encounter.

And heavyweight legend and former undisputed champion Tyson, after whom the ‘Gypsy King’ is named, has backed the Brit to do just that.

He said: “Usyk is the best heavyweight in the world right now. But I want Fury to beat him.

“Why? Because I’m a fan. Because his father named him after me. I’m not giving up on him now.”

Fury will welcome the support of Tyson, who has played a pivotal role in the great player’s recent rise in the sport.

“Iron Mike” had already supported Fury for the first confrontation, where he narrowly failed.

Unfortunately for Fury, that’s not a view shared by everyone.

The legend’s former rival Lewis, who beat Tyson in 2002, believes Fury will have a much tougher time.

And while acknowledging that Fury could easily make changes and raise his hand, he intends to stick to his guns and predicts Usyk will remain undefeated.

He said in a lengthy assessment: “It’s going to be a tough fight for both guys. It’s going to be tough mentally, it’s going to be tough physically.

“They’re going to push each other mentally, they’re going to push each other physically. Both guys want to win this fight.

“Both guys want something of that and it’s going to be a mental challenge and a physical challenge.

“I think it’s going to be a banger, it’s going to be a serious fight, one guy was more serious than the other (in the first fight) – you could say Tyson Fury lost that fight and Usyk won it.

“Now it’s a situation where they have another fight, Tyson Fury has to win this fight so he’s going to be more focused, he’s going to put a little more weight on to get through this fight and he’s a lot more serious.

“Well, I can’t face Usyk. Alexander Ousyk has proven himself time and time again and he is still undefeated.

“It really depends on who boxes better. Who is smart in the ring. I didn’t think Tyson Fury was smart in the first fight.

“I think he played a little too much and allowed Oleksandr Usyk to really pile up the points.

“Oleksandr Usyk is a difficult opponent. He’s always moving, he’s always punching, he’s in great shape and he’s hard to beat.

Fury is expected to gain weight for the second meeting, a sign that the proceedings could be very different.

The ‘Gypsy King’ is said to weigh as much as 19 and a half stone, a sign he could be looking to impose his power from the opening bell.

Usyk and Fury both look in fantastic shape and have been working hard in their respective training camps, with a heavyweight legacy on the line.

Huge opportunities await both fighters regardless of the outcome, with Daniel Dubois currently holds the IBF title.

Antoine Joshua will also likely throw his hat in the ring after expressing interest in a trilogy with Usyk and a chance to finally settle his rivalry with Fury.
