Last year the Sheffield Sled Race raised more than £3,500 for the Cavendish Cancer Care charity.

On Sunday 15 December the sleigh will visit Norton Lees, Jordanthorpe, Greenhill and Dore, and the following day will visit Millhouses, Greystones, Crosspool and Lodge Moor.

Mr Burnell added: “We saw the huge disappointment from the people of Sheffield at the cancellation of the sleigh race, so we have added two extra dates to our own sleigh ride to help.”
