By Isaac Nyamungu

Claressa Shields has expressed her desire to fight Jake Paul. The world boxing champion reiterated her stance that she could beat Jake Paul in the ring. This assertion comes despite Paul’s advice latest victory against boxing legend Mike Tyson.

Undefeated women’s boxing superstar Claressa Shields is confident she could challenge Jake Paul in a boxing contest and Bellew wouldn’t put it past “Disney Boy” Jake Paul for the opportunity for a fight.

Shields has not been a fan of Paul for several years and has a strong dislike for the YouTube influencer and boxer.

In an interview with Tony Bellew, Shields firmly explained that she still believes that Jake Paul does not have the necessary conditions to fight her on a professional boxing show.

“Potentially. I wouldn’t let him get away with anything after seeing Mike in the ring. The only thing I owe him is that Mike finished that last round. And he let him survive. I have to give it to him, I Gotta give him all the respect he deserves for that. Fighting a woman, I don’t think he would do that, but I can’t force anything on him. He’s a brilliant businessman. what he does. He chooses his brand and. It works for him. Just stay away from the grandfathers.” Shields said.

“I don’t think Jake Paul has the skills to get in the ring with me,” she said.

“Or with any of the guys in the 154-plus pound class that are ranked. I’m not going to lie. 1-10,” she added.

Shields’ statement comes hot on the heels of Paul’s victory over Tyson, who, at 58 and after many years out of boxing, was not at his best.

Despite the fact that Jake Paul has gained notoriety in boxing for fighting renowned icons, the Olympic champion remains firm in her belief that Paul is still a novice compared to elite fighters.

“He’s no match for me,” added Shields, who has proven herself to be one of the world’s best pugilists with a remarkable record of triumphs.

Shields became the latest contender to challenge Paul in the ring with her overflowing confidence in her ability to beat “The Problem Child.”

“I don’t think Jake Paul has the skills to get in the ring with me,” Shields said. “Or any of the guys 154 pounds and up that are ranked. I’m not going to lie to you. 1-10. I don’t think he could pick a guy 1-10 in any of the rankings, any of the weight classes and beat him,” she said.

However, Shields acknowledged on a light note Jake Paul’s considerable contributions to the boxing profession, which have had positive impacts.

Despite criticism of the quality of his rivals, the champion noted that Paul had done something positive for the sport by bringing more attention to boxing. “It brings more attention to the sport, and that’s what we need,” she said.
