Woman Discovers Problems With Luigi Mangione’s Family Care Facilities

Rising from poverty, Nicholas Mangione built an empire that included Turf Valley Resort, Hayfields Country Club and conservative radio station WCBM-AM, Bored panda previously reported.

He also founded Lorien Health Services, a retirement home in which his grandson, now behind barsvolunteer in 2014.

On Tuesday, December 10, on her TikTok page, social media content creator Tiffany Cianci further exposed the origin of Mangione’s alleged wealth.

In a videowhich garnered nearly 5 million views, Cianci uncovered connections between Mangione and his family’s healthcare business, which was accused of negligence.

“No one, and I mean no one, talks about the fact that health care companies are single-handedly responsible for all of their family’s wealth,” Cianci exclaimed.

The TikToker highlighted Mangione’s Ivy League education in addition to being the valedictorian of the prestigious Gilman School in Maryland, whose annual tuition is $34,165, according to US News.

The Mangione family owns Lorien Health Services, a network of private nursing facilities in Maryland, as well as the Turf Valley Golf Resort, used for events and for networking with health care and pharmaceutical representatives, has explained Cianci.

His supporters rallied behind him and framed the alleged crime as a reaction to widespread dissatisfaction with the U.S. health care system.

Public records revealed that the facility and complex are owned by the ten adult children of Nicholas and Mary Mangione, each of whom owns a 10 percent stake, with Luigi Mangione’s father, Louis Mangione, identified as president of the development company of these properties.

U.S. government ratings found poor conditions, with one facility receiving just two stars and 24 demerits for health this year, well above the national average.

Worryingly, 83% of low-risk residents would lose bowel or bladder control due to inadequate care, far exceeding the national average of 48%.

Mangione, who volunteered at these establishments, allegedly expressed his contempt for such systems in a manifesto found during his arrest.

“I know we could be facing the possibility of an identity rebellion, or an ideological awakening, or even an ethical awakening,” Cianci said.

The TikToker discovered that Mangione frequently discusses utilitarianism and virtue ethics onlinestrongly favoring utilitarianism, which prioritizes the greatest good for the greatest number, even if the means are extreme.

The Mangione family has amassed significant wealth through companies criticized for poor patient care and prioritizing profit over welfare, according to the TikToker.

Speaking about the crime and Mangione’s alleged motive, Cianci said: “It’s a bold statement if that’s indeed what he wanted.”

“No matter what, it is never acceptable to advocate violence, and I do not do that on my channel.”

Mangione currently remains in a Pennsylvania prison as he fights extradition to New York, where he faces charges including second-degree murder.

Authorities claimed Mangione’s actions were motivated by anger towards the health insurance industrywith evidence including a handwritten manifesto and shell casings inscribed with phrases criticizing company practices.

Arrested in Altoona, Pennsylvania, Mangione was found with a 3D-printed gun, a fake ID, and items allegedly related to the crime scene, including a spiral notebook and fingerprints.

While Mangione’s Pennsylvania lawyer denied his involvement and questioned the evidence, a defense fund raised more than $115,000 and prosecutors continued to build their case, citing growing findings from investigations and d medico-legal expertise. CNN reported Monday, December 16.

Mangione is scheduled to appear for a Dec. 30 hearing in Pennsylvania, which could determine his extradition to New York.

Additionally, he faces a sentence of 15 years to life in prison if convicted of second-degree murder, according to CNN.
