Misty mornings and warm afternoons until a front arrives midweek

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – The hot, humid weather is back and with it the morning fog.

Some areas could experience dense fog Monday morning, but fog appears to be more widespread Tuesday and Wednesday morning.

Give yourself time in the morning and take it easy on the roads.

Highs will be in the upper 70s on Monday. They retreat slightly Tuesday and Wednesday to the mid-70s.

Scattered showers are possible Monday and Wednesday.

A strong cold front arrives Wednesday evening, dropping temperatures into the 50s Thursday. It’s cool until Friday and another front arrives for the weekend.

This will be arctic air leaving behind potentially the coldest temperatures of the season.

Highs are stuck in the 40s Sunday with light freezes north and west of the lake both weekend mornings.

We will be closely monitoring the potential for severe frost early next week.
