Akshay Kumar’s initiative feeds Ayodhya’s hugely growing monkey population: Ek chhoti si koshish…

In an encouraging post on Instagram, Akshay Kumar shared the news of his healthy initiative in Ayodhya. Thanks to his donations and the efforts of the Anjaneya Seva Trust, more than 1,250 monkeys have been fed in the holy city. It is a well-known fact that the monkey population in Ayodhya has increased by leaps and bounds. Akshay’s donations, estimated at 1 crore, ensure that the monkeys are provided with clean and nutritious food daily. This initiative, carried out by the Anjaneya Sewa Trust, under the leadership of Jagatguru Swami Raghavacharya Ji Maharajhas, has also been carried out, keeping in mind that no inconvenience is caused to the people of Ayodhya, as the said the founder-trustee of Anjaneya Sewa Trust, Priya Gupta. For example, Akshay’s team collects banana peels discarded by monkeys, which are then fed to cows. The dung produced by the cows is then used as manure for planting banana trees. Additionally, the van leading the initiative is named after Rajesh Khanna, another gesture by Akki, who donated the money on behalf of his parents and father-in-law. “Ek chhoti si koshish…,” read the caption of Akshay’s post, which managed to capture the pulse of the effort.

On the professional front, Akshay was last seen in Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again alongside Ajay Devgn, Ranveer Singh and Kareena Kapoor Khan, among others. He is currently shooting for a slew of yet-to-be-released films namely Sky Force, Shankara, Jolly LLB 3, Kannappa, Housefull 5, Welcome to the Jungle, Hera Pheri 3 as well as Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat.
