Style, interior and technology of the 2025 Skoda Elroq

The new Skoda Elroq is the first to follow the company’s new ‘Modern Solid’ design language. The traditional Skoda grille is replaced by a gloss black “Tech-Deck Face”. The ADAS sensors and front camera are hidden behind.

The new Skoda Elroq features a neatly contoured bonnet, which sports the new Skoda lettering, making it the first car from the company to remove the familiar round Skoda logo. The typical Skoda “four-eye” headlights are also replaced by minimalist LED lighting, with narrow upper segments and larger lower modules.

The new Skoda Elroq has a roofline that curves gently from the A-pillar towards the rear. It blends into a rear roof spoiler to deliver a drag coefficient of just 0.26. This is despite the use of large alloy wheels, from 19 inches to 21 inches. Skoda claims that the wheels themselves are aerodynamically optimized.

The new Skoda Elroq is available in nine different colors, with one of the three solid colors being this Timiano Green. This is an all-new color for Skoda which, for now, is exclusive to the Elroq.

Inside, the new Skoda Elroq is generally very spacious. There’s over a meter of headroom up front and almost a meter in the rear, while legroom is also plentiful.

The new Skoda Elroq has a 470 liter boot, making it the largest in its class. With the rear seats folded, it expands to 1,580 litres. It introduces new “Simply Clever” features, such as a storage net for a charging cable under the trunk lid as well as a multi-function cargo cover.

Up front, the new Skoda Elroq follows the same clean dashboard design as the Skoda Enyaq. All models feature a 13.0-inch central touchscreen, which now allows up to five shortcuts to be set for regularly used vehicle functions as well as four shortcuts for apps. Skoda insists that the air conditioning system is also more user-friendly.

The Skoda Elroq has a “Digital Cockpit” for the driver and an optional head-up display with augmented reality functions. There are two levels of ambient lighting, with the standard setup even illuminating the front and rear door panels, door handles, center console and footwells. The upper level has ambient dashboard lighting in 10 standard colors and five “mood settings”.

Throughout the cabin, the new Skoda Elroq has a total storage capacity of 48 liters. This includes a ‘giant box’ with storage tray and tablet holder, a storage compartment for those in the back – and, of course, an umbrella in the dedicated storage compartment in the driver’s door.

Skoda Elroq 2025 battery, performance and autonomy

The new Skoda Elroq is available with three different battery sizes. The new Skoda Elroq 50 has a 52 kWh battery, the new Skoda Elroq 60 has a 59 kWh battery and the new Skoda Elroq 85 has a 77 kWh battery.

The three batteries in the new Skoda Elroq are combined with three different motors, all driving the rear wheels. The new Skoda Elroq 50 has a 170 hp electric motor, for acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.0 seconds.

The new Skoda Elroq 60 has a 204 hp electric motor, for a 0-100 km/h performance in 8.0 seconds, while the new Skoda Elroq 85 has a 286 hp electric motor for a performance from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.6 seconds.

The new Skoda Elroq supports DC fast charging. The 50 and 60 support DC charging speeds of 145 kW and 165 kW respectively, allowing them to go from 10 to 80 percent charge in as little as 24 minutes. The new Skoda Elroq 85 offers 175 kW DC fast charging. So despite its larger size, it can still go from 10% to 80% in just 28 minutes.

The new Skoda Elroq features a modular lithium-ion battery design. The 50 has eight modules, the 60 has nine modules, and the 85 has 12 modules. Skoda claims that the liquid cooling and heating functionality is identical to that of the Enyaq: preheating is activated automatically when using the on-board navigation system.

The chassis of the new Skoda Elroq is derived from the larger Skoda Enyaq and all models feature rear drum brakes, which Skoda says is ideal for electric vehicles with regenerative braking.

The new Skoda Elroq is available with optional DCC adaptive shock absorbers, which dynamically adjust the parameters depending on the characteristics of the road surface. It can also tow braked trailers weighing up to 1,200 kg.
