After Sonakshi Sinha, veteran actress and actor Shatrughan Sinha’s father slammed Mukesh Khanna, who questioned the Dabang the actress’ education after she failed to answer a question based on the Ramayana as she was asked for whom Hanuman brought Sanjeevani Booti in one of the episodes of KBC in 2019.

Talking about the storyline, Shotgun Sr told Bollywood Hungama, “I think someone has a problem with Sonakshi not answering a question on Ramayana. First of all, what qualifies this person to be an expert on anything related to the Ramayana? And who appointed him guardian of the Hindu religion?

Defending his daughter, he added: “I am very proud of my three children. Sonakshi has become a star in her own right. I never had to launch his career. She is a daughter that any father would be proud to have. Not answering a question on the Ramayana does not disqualify Sonakshi from being a good Hindu. It does not need any certificate of approval from anyone.

Recently, switching to Instagram Stories,
Sonakshi had asked the Mahabharat star to “stop bringing up the same incident over and over again to get back into the news at the expense of me and my family”

“Dear Sir, Mukesh Khanna ji… I recently read a statement you made saying that it was my father’s fault that I did not answer a question correctly on the Ramayana during a program in which I attended many, many years ago. First, let me remind you that there were two women in the hot seat that day who didn’t know the answer to the same question, but you chose to continue to take my name, and only my name, for fairly obvious reasons,” she wrote.

She continued, “Yes, I may have erased a human tendency that day and forgotten for whom the sanjeevani booti was brought, but clearly you have also forgotten some of the lessons of forgiveness and forgetting taught by Lord Ram himself… if Lord Ram can forgive Manthara, if he can forgive Kaikeyi… if he can even forgive Ravan after the great battle is over, surely you can give up this extremely small thing in comparison… not that I need your forgiveness. But yes, I absolutely need you to forget and stop bringing up the same incident over and over again to come back into the news at the expense of me and my family.
