ASHEVILLE, NC (FOX Carolina) – The Food Lion Feeds Charitabile Foundation announced it has donated a $1 million grant to Asheville’s MANNA Food Bank to help with Helen’s relief efforts.

The Disaster Relief Grant supports rebuilding and recovery efforts following Hurricane Helene. The food bank played a vital role in helping western North Carolina neighbors affected by the storm.

The funds will support long-term recovery efforts and help upgrade the new facility and restore what was lost to ensure MANNA has a sustainable future and operations to serve Western North Carolina.
