BNA launches new high-speed Wi-Fi network

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Travelers passing through Nashville International Airport will be able to enjoy faster internet starting this week.

The airport launched a new high-speed Wi-Fi system Thursday that is expected to make download speeds and connectivity up to 20 times faster, according to the announcement. Download speeds of up to 100 MBPS will now be offered.

The goal of the new system is to improve the overall travel experience for everyone who passes through BNA.

“We are excited to unveil these significant enhancements to our Wi-Fi services at BNA,” said Doug Kreulen, President and CEO of the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority. “This improvement demonstrates our commitment to providing an exceptional travel experience. By providing faster and more reliable internet access, we ensure our passengers can stay connected effortlessly.

The new and improved Wi-Fi system will also make the connectivity process more convenient for travelers, BNA announced. In the past, passengers had to watch a short video before accessing the airport Internet; but now it will be enough to answer a short survey.

Additionally, travelers will remain connected throughout the airport and will no longer need to reconnect in different lobbies, according to BNA.

The new high-speed system was launched on Thursday 19 December.
