The Ola Electric store plans to reach 4,000 people this Christmas; CEO Bhavish Aggarwal eyes presence in ‘every town, city, tehsil’

Ola Electric Mobility has announced that it will expand its stores to 4,000 locations by Christmas, December 25. The electric vehicle maker, under the #SavingsWalaScooter campaign, plans to reach out to its customers in metros and tier 2 and tier 3 cities.

“Ola Electric is set to expand its sales and service network to 4,000 people on December 25, marking one of the fastest electric vehicle distribution rollouts in the world. With 3,200 new stores complementing its existing presence, Ola Electric brings its portfolio of affordable, high-quality electric vehicles closer to consumers in metros, tier 2 and tier 3 cities,” Ola said in a statement.

Through this approach, the company says it wants to offer relief to its customers in the face of rising gas prices.

“The #SavingsWalaScooter campaign aligns with Ola Electric’s commitment to democratizing electric mobility and decisively moving India away from ICE vehicles. By leveraging its direct-to-consumer (D2C) model, Ola is ensuring that electric vehicle ownership becomes a reality for every household, breaking down barriers to adoption and providing relief from rising prices of gasoline and the high cost of ownership of ICE vehicles,” the press release added. .

“Every town, every city, every tehsil or taluka, there will be an Ola Electric store and an Ola Electric service center, so that every Indian can buy an electric vehicle for their future,” said Ola CEO Bhavish Aggarwal, in a video. posted on X.

According to Aggarwal, customers can save almost 4,000 per month with electric vehicles.

“With electric vehicles, you will save 4,000 per month. Your savings will increase and you will save money with this savings scooter wala,” he added.

On Thursday, Ola shares closed at 95.10, a drop of 1.39 percent.

On Independence Day 2024, Ola Electric launched three e-bike models: Roadster Pro, Roadster and Roadster X. It also suggested that Ola’s own batteries would be integrated into its vehicles from the first quarter of next exercise.

Ola delivered its first electric scooter, the Ola S1 Pro, in December 2021. The company was listed on August 2, 2024.
