Earlier, the Delhi Police had registered an FIR against Rahul Gandhi, in connection with a brawl that took place in Parliament House. Tensions flared when members of the opposition and ruling parties staged side protests. Two BJP MLAs, Pratap Sarangi and Mukesh Rajput, were injured in a scuffle in Parliament yesterday. Sarangi had claimed he was injured after Congress leader Rahul Gandhi pushed another MLA, who then fell on him. Sarangi claimed he was standing near the stairs when another deputy fell on him, injuring his head.

In response, several BJP MPs demanded an apology from Rahul Gandhi.
