For years, Sunday evenings have welcomed new Yellow stone episodes, but that era is now over, with Western drama having dropped its brutal series finale in mid-December. Even though we know that more next Yellow stone watch are already engraved in stone, since the Spin-off centered on Beth and Rip to what seems unrelated follow up The Madisonfans will still have plenty Taylor Sheridan stories to pay attention to. Maybe I don’t count Kevin Costner among these fans.

Costner, of course, was the prominent leader who helped transform Yellow stone from a cable oddity to the most-watched scripted project. But scheduling conflicts and behind-the-scenes disagreements between the Oscar winner and Sheridan led to his official exit, which stood despite attempts to get him back on the show. Unsurprisingly, Costner was unsympathetic in reacting to Death of John Dutton in the midseason premiereand apparently he wasn’t interested enough to see how it all played out.
