Can we expect warmer temperatures this week?

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — A few showers across the Treasure Coast are expected late this morning. Highs will be in the mid to upper 70s with partly cloudy skies. Temperatures are finally returning to near seasonal levels.

A trough sets in offshore, creating an unstable atmosphere for most of this holiday week. Expect coastal showers through Kwanza.

On Christmas Eve, highs will be in the mid to upper 70s, with some sunny spells.

Forecast for Christmas and Hanukkah

WPTV

Christmas Day and the first day of Hanukkah will be marked by some morning showers. Conditions look drier in the afternoon with mostly cloudy skies and seasonal high temperatures in the upper 70s.

Thursday in Kwanza we continue the trend of coastal showers and humidity. Highs were approaching 80 degrees that afternoon.

This weekend, the trend is even more unfavorable because we are following a cold front.

I’d keep the rain gear on, especially Saturday, as a low pressure system deepens in the northern Gulf of Mexico as a large cold front approaches. Temperatures will be near normal in the upper 70s. I am not ruling out a stray shower this Sunday behind the cold front.
