Jaguars can’t let Eagles fly with key offensive weapon

The Jacksonville Jaguars have just suffered a tough defeat. As they move into the Week 9 plan this Sunday, it doesn’t get any easier.

The Jaguars travel to Philadelphia to face the Eagles. It will be a hostile environment and it may not be as fun a return for head coach Doug Pederson.

With the Eagles having all their weapons back, this defense will need to remain disciplined to have a chance of winning this game. The Eagles have two threats to run the ball with. First, skillful running back Saquon Barkley, then quarterback Jalen Hurts.

“Man, that’s a great offense we’re facing,” Jaguars defensive end Travon Walker said. “They have a lot of threats at quarterback and running back, and the offensive line is playing really well as well. I feel like this coach is doing a great job of filling in the areas where they may have had injuries or things like that. But I feel like they’re a great team when it comes to ball management. I feel like that’s how they want to be as a team. »

The Jaguars defense will see a lot of run pass option (RPO) plays from the Eagles offense this Sunday.

“You just have to be disciplined. Everybody just has to go out there and play their mission and execute their job on that play. For me, if it surfaces or if it’s me doing anything, I just have to go out there and execute it.

The pressure is on the Jaguars because at 2-6, there is no room for error if they want this season to change.

“I wouldn’t say we exclude ourselves. But now that’s just the important point, getting into the season you know, once you get towards the end of November, December. These are the games you have to win. Especially, with the division opponents we have on our schedule and things of that nature. We just want to keep digging and get out of this hole. We know the season isn’t over until it’s over.
