Akron Police detectives are investigating two thefts at two separate businesses on Christmas Eve.

The first theft occurred at 5:49 p.m. at Ace Tire, 965 North Main Street. Police say the robber entered the store, brandished a gun and demanded money. The thief fled with an undetermined amount of money. No specific description of the thief was provided.

The second robbery occurred at 6:30 p.m. at LL Drive Thru, 1035 Lovers Lane. Police said two thieves entered the store; One of them brandished a gun and took an undetermined amount of money. Their description was not given.
