Bright and cool Sunday before next week’s warm-up – Boston News, Weather, Sports

Get ready for a cold start to the day on Sunday! This won’t last forever, however, as near-record temperatures are expected again next week.

With the exception of the Cape, most of us will reach the upper 20s and lower 30s early Sunday morning. In Cape Town, you can add about 10 degrees. Otherwise, we’ll be mostly clear and dry.

And don’t forget to turn your clocks back an hour before bed tonight! This will bring our sunset on Sunday at 4:34 p.m.

Luckily, it will be a bright, sunny day that will warm us up to near 50 degrees. Not the hottest day, but closer to average than we have been recently.

Monday will be a similar day. A cold start near 30 degrees with afternoon high temperatures in the 50s. The biggest difference is that there will be a lot more clouds. We stay dry during the day, but there could be occasional showers overnight Tuesday morning.

Tuesday is Election Day and the forecast looks good. It won’t be too cold to go out and vote: morning lows will be around 40 degrees and afternoon highs will be near 70 degrees.

The sky will be partly cloudy, and at most a few clouds. It will be windy though, making raking leaves quite difficult.

Wednesday: Near record heat in the mid to late 70s with partly sunny skies. Thursday looks to be partly sunny and we will return to the low 60s. Friday will be dry with a mix of sun/clouds and highs near 60 degrees. Saturday, the cooldown continues with highs in the mid 50s and still dry.
