Asiwome Dzakuma has been a pilot for 22 years. However, he described it as an incredible honor to have his parents on board as passengers for the first time.

He introduced his two special passengers and took the opportunity to thank the others people who were a great help to him in life even if they were not on board.

“As a pilot of Ghanaian origin, connecting you to the world with the world’s largest airline is my dream come true. But this flight, this moment, is particularly special for me. Not just as a pilot but as a son. For the first time in 22 years of flying around the world, I have the privilege of flying my parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dzakuma, sitting on the 20 Alpha and the 20 Charlie. »

“Dad and Aunt Matilda, your unwavering love and support have been the wind beneath my wings. You made countless sacrifices to allow me to soar. And for that, I am eternally grateful. It truly takes a village to raise an African child,” he added.

Asiwome Dzakuma also appreciated other people who played an integral role in his upbringing, including his late biological mother and the principal of his school. High school.

“I am deeply grateful to the many people who have helped elevate me along the way, including my high school principal of blessed memory, Rev. Father JB Elazer of Bishop Herman College, who instilled the spirit of determination and, in his own words, to succeed despite all difficulties.”

“Although she is no longer with us, one person I know who is very much present in spirit today is my biological mother, Grace Dora Dzakuma. After the speech, Asiwome Dzakuma left his pilot’s seat to hug his parents and give them a gift. The other passengers clapped to encourage the parents and their son.
