“Detectives would like to thank everyone who submitted information and tips that helped with this case. Most of the tips came via Facebook,” Vancouver police said in a news release Saturday evening. “The investigation is ongoing and nothing further has been released at this time.”

The release did not detail how detectives linked Ward to the shooting.
