Ben Affleck has praised his soon-to-be ex-wife Jennifer Lopez amid their ongoing divorce proceedings.

The Oscar winner, 52, had a kind word for Lopez, 55, after her performance in the upcoming film “Unstoppable,” on which he served as a producer.

During an interview with Entertainment tonightAffleck appeared alongside his longtime friend Matt Damon to discuss the film and his early reviews.

Affleck compared the project to his other film, titled “Small Things Like These,” which stars “Oppenheimer” and “Peaky Blinders” actor Cillian Murphy.

“‘Unstoppable’ is a very different film than this one, but in a way it’s also rooted in the passion of really talented artists,” he told the outlet.

“Billy Goldenberg, Jennifer, Don Cheadle, Jharrel (Jerome) and Bobby Cannavale were all really passionate about this film,” the Oscar winner continued.

Briefly touching on the casting, Affleck couldn’t help but praise the “On The Floor” hitmaker for her moving performance in the film.

“Jennifer is spectacular,” he exclaimed, adding that the film is “another one that we are really, really proud of.”

“We had faith in the right people, and ‘Unstoppable’ is another example of that,” he added.

Lopez filed for divorce from Affleck on August 20 after two years of marriage.

Although the exes haven’t walked the red carpet together since, the duo reunited for a surprise. PDA-filled brunch in Beverly Hills with some of their children in September.

While sources exclusively told Page Six at the time that Affleck and Lopez kissed and held handsthey also confirmed that the couple was moving forward with their separation.

The insider called their blended family a “priority” as they “worked out the financial details amicably.”

In an interview last month, the “Love Don’t Cost a Thing” singer explained why she is “excited” to be single.

“Everything I’ve done over the last 25, 30 years, being in these different difficult situations, what can I do when it’s just me flying by myself… what if I was just free? ” She told Interview magazine.

While admitting that the “new territory” is “lonely, unknown, scary,” “sad” and “desperate,” Lopez stressed that “being in a relationship doesn’t define it.”

“When you sit in those feelings and say, ‘These things aren’t going to kill me,’ it’s like, ‘Actually, I’m capable of joy and happiness on my own,'” she added.

“I can’t look for happiness in others,” she continued. “I must have happiness within me.”

Affleck was previously married to Jennifer Garnerwith whom he shares Violet, 18 years old, Seraphina, 15 years old, and Samuel, 12 years old.

Lopez, for her part, shares Twins Emme and Max, 16 years old with her third husbandMark Antony.

“Unstoppable” will be released on December 6.
