One person was injured Sunday during an early season avalanche in Crow’s Nest Pass.

Three people triggered the slide near Coleman, which buried one person.

The other two people were able to dig up the buried person and call for help.

Search and rescue sent a ground team for support.

According to Southwestern Alberta Regional Search and Rescue, the region is already experiencing winter conditions.

They warn people to take precautions if they head into the backcountry.
