The deliberate and violent attack by some Khalistan separatists on Hindus outside the Hindu Sabha temple in Brampton, Canada is a condemnable act and brings a bad name to all Indians living in Canada, especially the Sikh community. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his message on ‘X’, while condemning the incidents, wrote, “Equally appalling are the cowardly attempts to intimidate our diplomats.” Such acts of violence never weaken India’s resolve. uphold the rule of law.”

It is deplorable that local Canadian police silently watched as separatists attacked Indian Hindus with iron bars outside the temple. Instead of taking action against the attackers, the local police took action against the Hindus, who bore the brunt of the attack. Visuals circulating on social media show police officers cornering a young Hindu and handcuffing him.

The immediate provocation for Khalistan supporters was a consular camp organized by the Indian High Commission at the Hindu Sabha temple in Brampton, where life certificates were issued to Indian pensioners living with their families in Canada. Khalistan supporters, brandishing provocative banners, gathered outside the temple to oppose the manning of the consular camp by Indian diplomats.

The arrest of young Hindus by local police has provoked indignation and anger among nearly 8.5 million Hindus residing in Canada. Hindus, waving the tricolor national flag, staged protests against Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and anti-national Khalistan separatists. Justin Trudeau, in his tweet, condemned the attack, but it was more of a face-saving move. Trudeau wrote: “The acts of violence committed today at the Hindu Sabha Mandir in Brampton are unacceptable. Every Canadian has the right to practice their faith freely and safely.

The attack on Hindus in Canada is concerning, not because a handful of Khalistanis entered a temple or enemies of India attacked Hindus, but because Canadian police are openly providing support and protection to Hindus. pro-Khalistan terrorists. This is all the more worrying as Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is now trying to cover up the incidents due to his party’s political constraints.

Few countries in the world can expect such a double standard from a country like Canada. For India, however, this is not surprising. Canada has become a base for Khalistan supporters over the past four years. Canada provides asylum and protection to these terrorists. Many of them are the subject of criminal cases filed against them by Indian authorities. They have been accused of spreading terror in India, providing weapons to terrorists and they benefit from the protection of the Canadian government.

Those who support Khalistan on digital media and post anti-India statements are treated as guests by the Canadian government. Last year, the Indian government handed Canada a list of seven feared gangsters, but Justin Trudeau’s government did nothing. The latest attacks on Hindus in Canada are a consequence of this and have fully exposed the conspiracy hatched by India’s enemies. The whole world now knows that such violent incidents are the result of the shelter given to rioters and gangsters.

Hindus living in Canada are angry. They know that Justin Trudeau is obliged to support Khalistan supporters because his government thrives on the support of 25 Khalistan MPs. This can’t last long. Not only Hindus, but most moderate Sikhs living in Canada for generations, are also unhappy with the attack on a Hindu temple. They do not want the image of the Sikh community living in Canada to be tarnished. The day is not far enough away when Justin Trudeau will have to suffer the consequences.
