On Tuesday, several Ottawa pubs and bars will provide a place to gather and watch the highly anticipated results of the U.S. election that will see either Donald Trump or Kamala Harris elected president.

On election night, CTV News Channel will offer special coverage every hour starting at 7 p.m. Eastern Time. Chief Political Correspondent Vassy Kapelos will lead a panel of distinguished experts throughout the evening, providing insight into what this all means for Canada and Canadians.

Newstalk 580 CFRA will also air a U.S. election special, “American Decides: A Canadian Perspective,” with expert opinions breaking down key states and results as they come in.

CTVNews.ca will cover the results starting at 5 p.m. EST with a live blog that will be updated throughout the night.

Lieutenant’s Pump

The Elgin Street pub will host the Inquiry Center from 8 p.m. until the pub closes at midnight. Entrance is free.

Throughout the evening, there will be anecdotes, analyzes and predictions. A virtual event is also available.

Local 613 will host a campaign party starting at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

The event is first come, first served with regular dinner service.

The tour will take place in the dining room on the ground floor and upstairs.

Clocktower Brewery – Westboro

The Liberal Party of Canada will be organize an election party at Clocktower Brew Pub in Westboro.

Entrance fee is $20. Includes a drink and appetizers.

The event starts at 7 p.m. and will end at 11 p.m.

Carleton Tavern

Democrats Abroad will host an election night party from 5 p.m. until midnight at the Carleton Tavern in Hintonburg.

The event is free (food and drinks not included). An online watch party is also available.

Participants are asked to confirm their attendance online in advance.

The Canadian International Council will host a viewing party from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Rideau Sports Centre.

General admission is $15 with a welcome drink included.
