Another Winter Class Storm Approaches Thursday — Your 9-Day Forecast

As the sun sets on Election Day, we can certainly be grateful for such a beautiful fall day. Wow, it was cold this morning! Our official minimum at the airport was 38, and Las Cruces dropped to a very cold 30! It will be even colder Thursday and Friday.

TONIGHT: Skies will be clear and winds will be breezy at times, from the southwest at 5-15 mph. We won’t be as cold with a low of 42.

FORECAST: Wednesday will be sunny at first, but skies will become mostly cloudy throughout the afternoon. Southwest winds will gust near 35 mph in the afternoon, with the strongest gusts occurring on the eastern slopes of the mountains. Wednesday’s high: 71. On Thursday, a significant winter-class low moves toward New Mexico. Expect cloudy skies, chilly winds, rain showers and a high of 53. Friday will be partly to partly cloudy with chilly winds. Friday high: 55. Saturday morning will be clear and very cold with a low of 31. Saturday will be sunny with light winds and a high of 66. Sunday will be sunny and 73. Monday will be sunny with warm breezes and a high of 78 Tuesday will bring some gusty winds, warming us up to the 80s.
