Atlantic City voters expand marijuana footprint

Atlantic City voters were seeking to approve a ballot initiative to expand the city’s “green zone,” where cannabis licenses are allowed, in this year’s election.

Voters saw the following question on their ballots: “Should the Green Zone Redevelopment Area Redevelopment Plan be amended to include Kentucky Avenue (from Atlantic Avenue to Arctic Avenue) and Albany Avenue (west of the Albany Avenue Bridge to the eastbound ramp/U-turn)?”

According to unofficial poll data from the Atlantic County Clerk’s Office, 56% of voters approved the redevelopment plan, while 43% refuted it as of 11:20 p.m., pulling results from all 21 districts in the city.
