Dry weather returns today until Friday

The rest of the day brings a mix of clouds and sun with high temperatures near 50 degrees and west winds 5 to 10 mph.

Tuesday’s rain in the Twin Cities averaged about 0.25″ to 0.40″, which may not have made the day pleasant outside, but really helped recharge the soil after the dry conditions of September and October. The next widespread precipitation will arrive in the Twin Cities and surrounding areas Saturday evening into Sunday morning.

Dense, patchy fog this morning in the Twin Cities, especially in areas from Minneapolis and west to the South Dakota border. DENSE FOG ADVISORY UNTIL 10 a.m. for the Twin Cities of Anoka, Hennepin, Carver and Scott counties and all counties west of the South Dakota border. The rest of the day brings a mix of clouds and sun today with highs near 50 degrees and west winds 5 to 10 mph. Partly cloudy this evening with patchy fog and light winds with lows in the mid 30s.

Thursday will start with some patchy fog, otherwise mostly sunny with highs in the 50s and west winds 5 to 15 mph. Clear skies Thursday evening with southwest winds 5 to 10 mph and lows in the upper 30s Friday morning.

Friday will be pleasant with sunny skies and highs in the mid 50s with south winds gusting 5 to 10 mph, then partly cloudy Friday night with lows near 40 degrees Saturday morning.

Saturday will be sunny, then clouds will increase during the afternoon with windy conditions and rain developing after 6 p.m. High temperatures Saturday will be in the mid 50s and low temperatures will be near 40 degrees Sunday morning with rain likely.

Rain likely Sunday morning and eventually ending early afternoon with clear skies and highs in the 50s.
