Lots of sunshine and warmer temperatures for the rest of the week

We’re going to have mostly clear skies (via decreasing clouds) and dry conditions tonight. It will also be cold tonight as lows will range from the upper teens to low 30s. Gusty winds are also expected this evening along the Rocky Mountain Front, as sustained wind speeds will be between 15 and 30 mph, and it will be a bit breezy in parts of the Plains this evening, as wind speeds sustained speeds will be between 10 and 30 mph. and 20 mph.

Tomorrow and Friday we will have plenty of sunshine and dry conditions as high pressure controls our weather. Temperatures will also warm up over these two days, as highs will be in the mid to 40s and 50s to 50s tomorrow, and the 50s to 60s on Friday. It will also be windy both days along the Rocky Mountain front, as sustained winds will be between 10 and 25 mph, and it will be a bit breezy both days in parts of the Plains, especially in and around the county from Cascade, as sustained wind speeds will be between 10 and 20 mph.

So we are going to have good weather this weekend as the anticyclones will continue to control our weather. Saturday we will have mostly sunny skies, dry conditions, little wind and mild temperatures with highs in the 50s and lows in the 60s. Sunday we will have partly cloudy skies with a slight chance of snow/rain showers in the mountains as a weak disturbance will cross our region. Gusty winds and slightly cooler temperatures are also expected Sunday, as sustained wind speeds will be between 10 and 30 mph, and highs will be in the 50s and upper 40s.

Unsettled weather will then return to Montana next week as multiple disturbances move through our region. On Monday there will be some rain and snow showers in the mountains, generally at higher altitudes, as the first disturbances move through our region. There will then be a few scattered rain and snow showers on Tuesday, mostly in the mountains, and there will be a few scattered rain and snow showers on Wednesday, mostly in the mountains, as Monday’s disturbances move out of our area and as a another disturbance is crossing our region. We will also have partly to mostly cloudy skies all three days.

There will also be a good breeze Monday through Wednesday, as sustained wind speeds will be between 10 and 25 mph, and wind gusts of up to 40 mph are possible. Temperatures will also cool down a bit early next week, as Monday’s highs will be in the 50s and Tuesday and Wednesday’s highs will be in the 40s.
