One person was rushed to hospital following a shooting in North York Friday evening.

Toronto police say they received a call shortly before 9:45 p.m. regarding the sound of gunshots in the area of Jane Street and Finch Avenue West.

When police arrived, they found an injured man. Toronto paramedics told CTV News Toronto the victim suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Footage from the scene shows police tape and evidence markers in the Jane Finch Shopping Center parking lot.

Police say they have no information on the suspects and have increased their presence in the area.
